The morning breaks in between the foggy mountains.
It slowly creeps through town stripping away its color,
turning all the normally colorful houses into shades of gray,
wetting the cobblestones and quarries,
the buildings and fountains,
the grass and the flowers with pearls of cold dew.
I see people down in the street making their way to unknown places,
carrying backpacks, briefcases and purses,
making me feel lost because, unlike them,
I can't seem to figure out where I should go,
so I only stare at them with a jealous heart
that beats so strongly against my chest
it must surely be trying to break away,
trying to escape from the prison I've

Dust some yellow sand covers,
here uncover bare bedding.
...suffusing red planes, blushed dunes,
under incidentally quilted blanket
wet as arid curves, as sounds.
...in a persistent pavement,
in a solemn unsuited promise,
some written words erase
some letters drip and soak
unto a perfuse miracle,
a dislocated split,
a letting go of...
